Although we primarily sought relaxation, we found ourselves drawn to the outdoor experiences the area offered. Our vibrant guide, Hasmik, helped us arrange a delightful hike to the stunning Shakti waterfall, which proved to be a highlight of our stay. The two-hour trek was manageable for all of us, and we were rewarded with breathtaking views. Our family also took part in a memorable ceramics workshop with local artisans Vahagn and Zara. Learning about Armenian ceramics while creating our own pieces fostered a unique bond among us, making it a truly enriching experience. Dinner at the hotel was a treat; we enjoyed healthy options, although breakfast could have been more punctual. While the hotel service had its hitches, such as intermittent delays and minor oversights, the atmosphere remained inviting for families seeking adventure. Hotel Basen stands out as a warm base for exploring Sisian's natural beauty and history. We look forward to returning for another family vacation.
